The Danger of Forgetting
the danger of forgetting
the amber blaze
the deaths of hundreds
forced into a barn

Thank you, Ellen.
Goosebumps – what a powerful kick-off!
Thanks, Gulara. 🙂
Where is your ‘like’ button so you know I’ve been here and read your posts? (And beautiful poetry!) Love the theme.
I don’t think this theme has a like button or I haven’t downloaded the app. I know it makes things easier, but there are already many buttons up there. Thanks, Sarah.
Great poem – Fabulous! Very hard to find out how to comment, though! Can you mention the need to click on the post title? I’m also a poet – doing an animal a day. ~Liz http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com
Thanks for the input, Liz. I’ve changed my posts now to (hopefully) make commenting easier. Thank you for visiting.
It’s a chilling one, that puts me in mind of awful wartime stories of groups herded into barns which were then set on fire.
That’s exactly the history behind this one, Geoff. This region in Poland had a lot of that going on during WWII, and it was mainly locals killing other locals unfortunately.
Powerful poem. I was considering doing poetry for my AtoZ also.
I love poetry, I like the one you offered today.
Thank you. I’ve enjoyed your TV and ad series for A-Z.
BAM! So few words, such force of context. Great, great job! Looking forward to the rest 🙂
Thank you, Guilie.
Picture. Text. A dangerous combination! A great start into the challenge!
Thank you, Claudia.
A powerful memorial which elicits so many memories.
Thanks, Anne.
